Our Wednesday night Bible study starts at 7 pm. Generally, we work our way through a book of the Bible. This is an informal setting where questions and discussion are encouraged.
FOF is a 14-week class that is periodically held for new believers or those seeking to become members. Though seasoned saints would benefit from this study, too.
Our Safety Team is a group of volunteers that meet regularly to focus on the overall safety of our church.
We incorporate the entire family for the first part of our morning and evening service on Sundays. Children sit in with their parents until they are dismissed for class after our time of worship in song. We believe it is important for children to begin experiencing corporate worship at a young age in order to give them a sense of belonging and prepare them for worship in the future. This also allows those serving in children’s ministries to worship corporately on Sundays and partake in communion, which we observe on the first Sunday morning of each month.
Our Praise Team meets every Sunday morning for practice before assisting to lead us in worship during our morning service. People of all ages & talents offer their gifts during this time, as well as during our offertory and special events. Whether it’s singing or playing an instrument, individuals that belong to this church are encouraged to use what God has given them in worship.
Our Fellowship Dinner is usually held on the first Sunday of the month after the evening service. Each family or individual is encouraged to bring something to share.
Periodic events such as family game nights are held at the homes of members, as well as our monthly Prayer Fellowship. There are events specifically for men or women of all ages, holiday events, and family outings to places such as the Apple Orchard or the Detroit Tiger’s Home Plate, etc.
Our local outreaches vary depending on the leading of the Lord and need. They can vary from holding a service at a local retirement home, hosting a booth at the annual Dearborn Homecoming, having a Harvest Party or Thanksgiving Dinner at our church, hosting a 5-Day Club in the summer, holding a Good News Club at a local school, or having a church picnic or BBQ.
We have committed as a church to monthly supporting a select group of missionaries. On the last Sunday of each month, our entire general offering is designated to the fund from which they are supported.
Annually, our church collects items to prepare a number of Christmas shoebox gifts. Once the items are all collected, our children then participate in packing the shoeboxes that we send.
